The Ministry of Agriculture of China will be holding a nationwide campaign, the National Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Public Awareness Month, from September 15 to October 14, 2015, in order to promote the biodiversity conservation of aquatic wildlife in China.
Supported by the National Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Association and nearly 100 related units across China including aquariums, aquatic nature reserve management institutions and aquatic wildlife rescue centres, the campaign also aims to raise public awareness on environmental protection, enhance promotion and publicity and popularise science studies.
During the campaign, calls for thematic activities in community or schools will be held to promote love and care for the marine environment and aquatic creatures throughout society. To highlight the campaign in Shanghai Ocean quarium, we are going to several middle schools and Hua Mu Community for a thematic tour on Sustainable Seafood. we also put up posters in colleges hoping for more public awaremess in caring marine wildlife.
