2019 Shanghai Science Festival

Do you know where the fish we eat come from? And how do humans catch or breed them? As people eat seafood, are they ignoring the fact that the amount of seafood available in the ocean is decreasing dramatically? How do you catch or grow seafood from a sustainable perspective? On these hot topics, you will get advice from the 2019 Shanghai ocean aquarium science and technology festival series "Share ‘my green’, attitude toward sustainable seafood" campaign.

“Share ‘My Green’, Attitude toward Sustainable Seafood” is one of the innovative and featured brand environmental protection publicity activities of Shanghai Ocean Aquarium in recent years.  The aim is to appeal to the public to pay attention to the Marine ecological balance from the point of view closest to life, cherish Marine life, carefully choose seafood and do their part to protect biodiversity.

The promotion activity of the festival will run from May 15 to May 26. During the festival, you can follow the official WeChat, learn Marine knowledge, participate in online questions and have the opportunity to win exquisite gifts. There will also be a ‘Penguin Baby Show’ at penguin land. On May 16 and 21, visitors will watch the predation of jellyfish larvae through a microscope, while aquarium divers will step out of the back to interact with the audience. In addition, we will go to some primary and secondary schools to carry out Marine science popularization publicity activities, and call on volunteers from many universities in Shanghai to actively participate in the environmental protection activities of this science and technology festival in the form of campus publicity, bringing green and Shared environmental protection concepts into the campus.
