Shanghai Ocean Aquarium provides a range of visitor-friendly services, including:
1. Luggage Storage
Small & Medium-sized Luggage Storage: Self-service luggage lockers are available in the main lobby. You can scan a WeChat QR code to store small and medium-sized luggage for free. Luggage must be retrieved half an hour before the aquarium closes for the day. Please keep valuables with you at all times.
Large Luggage Storage: For large luggage, strollers, or wheelchairs that need to be stored, please proceed to the Tourist Center in the main lobby with your same-day admission ticket. Luggage must be retrieved half an hour before the aquarium closes for the day. Please keep valuables with you at all times.
2. Stroller & Wheelchair Rental
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium provides free stroller and wheelchair rental services.
- Rental Method: A deposit is required (cash, ID card, or driver's license). The deposit is 600 RMB for a stroller and 800 RMB for a wheelchair. The deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the stroller/wheelchair.
- Rental Notes: Rented strollers/wheelchairs cannot be taken outside the aquarium premises. There is no time limit for rental, but they must be returned within the aquarium's operating hours on the same day.
- Deposit Refund: The deposit will be refunded in full after the equipment is returned in good condition.
3. Baby Care Room
The baby care room is located on the second floor. Visitors who have not yet entered or have already exited the aquarium cannot access this room. In case of special circumstances, please contact our staff for assistance.
4. Restrooms
Restrooms are available on every floor.
5. Wi-Fi
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium offers free Wi‑Fi for up to 2 hours per session. (Foreign visitors whose mobile phone numbers are not from a domestic Chinese carrier cannot use this service.)
