Shanghai Ocean Aquarium operates year-round. Regular daily operating hours are 09:00–18:00; ticket sales and admission close at 17:30. During summer vacation (July and August), operating hours are extended to 21:00, with last ticket sales and admission at 20:30. Any other special operating schedules shall be subject to official announcements.

Public transit: Take Metro Line 2 to Lujiazui Station, exit through Gate 2, then walk around 5 minutes to reach the venue.
Self-driving: Navigate to "Shanghai Ocean Aquarium". An on-site parking lot is available at a rate of ¥10 per hour. You may also follow real-time navigation on map applications.

Nursing Room: 2nd Floor
Small & Medium Luggage Storage: Self-service lockers in the lobby. Scan the WeChat QR code to store small and medium-sized bags free of charge. All stored luggage must be collected half an hour before closing on the same day.
Oversized Item Storage: Large luggage, strollers and wheelchairs can be stored at the Lobby Visitor Center upon presentation of your same-day ticket, and must be retrieved half an hour before closing. Please keep all valuables on your person.
Stroller & Wheelchair Rental: A cash deposit is required (¥600 for strollers, ¥800 for wheelchairs), which will be fully refunded upon return. The equipment can only be used within the aquarium premises and must be returned before the end of daily operating hours.Q
Will the aquarium close under special weather conditions such as heavy rain or typhoons? How will notifications be issued?
